The Yamaha L series is a superb range of acoustic guitars that has been refined over many years. This latest model of LL16D ARE has some exquisite design features. The acoustic tone of the Yamaha LL16DARE is glistening with sparkle and depth. It sounds expensive and that’s thanks to the A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process that the top wood has gone through. This is a technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood has been manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years. The combination of a select solid premium Engelmann Spruce top with Rosewood back & sides gives a very pleasing tone for all styles of playing. Yamaha have also tweaked the bracing to give a bright tone while enhancing low-end tone.

Lots of care and attention has been taken when designing the neck profile and overall string spacing. The new design offers stable grip and smooth playability all over the full length of the neck and fingerboard. The neck on the Yamaha LL16DARE is incredible stable thanks to it’s 5-ply construction of Rosewood and Mahogany. An Ebony fingerboard features attractive Abalone inlays. The LL16D ARE also has intricate abalone inlay work around the body, head and sound hole.

The Yamaha LL16D ARE features a passive Zero impact pickup. This discrete pickup requires no power but when plugged in allows you to amplify the LL16D’s stunning acoustic voice.
